Common Questions

Things people usually ask first.

Who are these programmes designed for?

Anyone who wants to develop a more grounded understanding of their personal finances. Our participants range from young professionals starting their first full-time role, to mid-career individuals approaching significant milestones like property purchase or retirement planning. No financial background is needed.

Are sessions held in-person or online?

Sessions for all three programmes take place in person at our Robinson Road office in Singapore. This format supports the hands-on, discussion-based nature of the learning. If you have a specific scheduling need, please reach out and we'll let you know what options are available.

What is the difference between the Investments and Financial Planning programmes?

Understanding Investments focuses on how financial instruments work — equities, bonds, ETFs, REITs — and how to evaluate them. Comprehensive Financial Planning is broader: it integrates everything from CPF strategy and insurance to retirement projections and estate fundamentals. Many participants find value in completing the investments programme before moving to the planning programme, though this is not required.

What is covered in the private consultations for Comprehensive Financial Planning?

The three individual sessions allow you to apply the group learning directly to your own financial circumstances. You'll work through your personal roadmap — reviewing your current position, setting realistic milestones, and addressing questions specific to your situation, such as CPF contribution strategies or insurance gaps.

How are fees structured and what do they cover?

The programme fee covers all sessions, materials, and any tools or platforms mentioned in the course description. For Budgeting Essentials (SGD 320), this includes the personal budgeting toolkit. For Understanding Investments (SGD 870), it includes access to the simulation platform and reference library. For Comprehensive Financial Planning (SGD 2,680), it includes the planning workbook, three private consultations, and ongoing access to post-programme materials.

Is the content relevant to Singapore specifically?

Yes. All programmes are developed with the Singapore financial context in mind — CPF mechanics, the local investment landscape including the SGX and SGD-denominated products, relevant tax considerations for residents, and local regulatory frameworks. Examples and case studies reflect real scenarios common in Singapore.
